Tarick Abdo

Dr. Tarick Abdo was born and raised in Valparaiso, IN. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at Indiana University. He then moved to Cleveland, OH., where he obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. At the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Dr. Abdo performed a primary podiatric medicine residency where he was able to do rotations in the fields of Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Vascular Medicine, Podiatric Medicine, and Internal Medicine. Dr. Abdo received his surgical training in Baltimore, MD at Greater Baltimore Medical Center where he worked with Podiatric Surgeons, Orthopedic Surgeons Plastic Surgeons, and Vascular Surgeons. As a resident, he received a Research Award for his work on Limb Salvage in a Diabetic Population. Following his residency, he wanted to come back to Indiana and has been in practice now since 2003.

Tarick I. Abdo, DPM *Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery ®. His interests include Reconstructive Foot & Ankle Surgery, Limb Salvage, and Sports Medicine. He sees patients at the Methodist Professional building on Tuesday and Thursdays. In addition, he sees patients at the Methodist East location on Monday and Fridays. Dr. Abdo was recently certified to perform total ankle replacement surgery with the FDA approved STAR implant device. He has given lectures to the Residents at Indiana University School of Medicine on Complications of the Diabetic Foot. In addition, he has done foot evaluations at the annual Diabetic Walk, LA fitness center, and Rolls Royce Wellness Fair. When he is not busy at work, Dr. Abdo enjoys spending time with his family.
